Who we are
Widgety (ودجتي) is an iPhone app that shows prayer times, the Hijri date, occasions and weather in widgets. Contact: support@widgety.app.
What we don’t collect
- We don’t ask for an account, a name, an email or a phone number.
- The app contains no ads, no analytics and no third-party tracking libraries.
- We run no servers that receive data from the app. The app sends nothing to us.
Location
We ask for “While Using” location access to compute prayer times for your city. Your location is stored only on your iPhone, in a space shared by the app and its widgets, and the times are computed there.
To show the weather and to name your city, the app sends your approximate area (coordinates rounded to about one kilometre) to two Apple services: Apple Weather (WeatherKit) and Apple’s geocoding. Apple handles these requests under the Apple Privacy Policy; they never reach us. If you decline location access, prayer times and weather stay off until you allow it in iPhone Settings.
Photos
- Saving themes: we ask only for “Add to Photos” access, to save the theme wallpapers you choose. The app cannot read your photos.
- Glass wallpaper: the picture you pick for the Glass family is kept on your iPhone only, for the widget to cut its background from.
Notifications
Adhan alerts are scheduled on your iPhone. We send no server notifications and need no device token.
Purchases
Widgety Pro purchases and subscriptions go through Apple. We never see your payment details or identity; Apple only tells the app whether Pro is active on your account.
Retention and deletion
Everything the app keeps is on your iPhone: your location, city, settings and cached weather. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Children
We collect no data from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes we update the date above; material changes are noted in the app’s release notes.
